What happened to Gerry, the Cozumel guide/driver?

From reading the reviews of Gerry on cruise critic, I thought it would be a great idea to hire him for our trip. On 5/23, we sent an email message to Mike Thompson, who handles Gerry's bookings, asking about Gerry's availability for the date we would be in Cozumel in June. Mike wrote back on 5/24 with tour suggestions and Gerry's information/cost. We responded on the same date requesting confirmation, as it sounded like a great way to see much of the island.

 

We have sent four subsequent email messages every few days (the last one last night), and haven't heard back. We're starting to think about Plan B.

 

I was wondering if anyone has used Gerry recently or even if they have heard from Mike. I'm surprised and a little concerned about the lack of response and wonder if something happened.

He's usually pretty prompt. did you check you spam/junk mail box...sometimes those hotmail urls get diverted there, even if the address has made it through before.

Because I received the first message, I didn't think subsequent messages would be deleted as spam. I've changed the email setting to "always allow" and sent another message from another account as one last try.

 

I hope it was an email issue and we'll hear from him.

I believe Mike returns stateside from time ot time or goes off island for business (he only assists Gerry) so he may just be out of touch. Good luck.

Gerry also works for Paradise Beach Tom driving for the Bar Hop Tour. He might be able to pass a message along.

I received an email from Mike this week. Hopefully you have made contact by now. I've never used Gerry but after reading the reviews here on CC boards, I plan to do so on my next cruise in February 2011.
