Thanksgiving in New Orleans

My family has never been to New Orleans. We will be going for a 5 day cruise on November 27. Most likely we will just head over to New Orleans early and spend Thanksgiving there. How full will the hotels get around Thanksgiving time? We probably should book soon, I know that. I was just curious how busy it is.

There is a big football game (Bayou Classic) on 11/27, and the hotels will book up for that wekend, so make your reservations early.
