Naturalist on Pearl to Alaska?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

When the park rangers board the Pearl in Alaska, are the commentaries broadcast throughout the ship or just in the public areas? We've got a BA cabin on deck 9, and weren't planning on leaving it during Glacier Bay. Anyone with experiences aboard the Pearl in Glacier Bay I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks :)

The rangers will be in the Spinnaker lounge if you want to talk with them - the commentary is posted on loudspeaker through the TV channel - DH sat on the balcony and had the volume turned up on the TV - it was great.

As noted above, they do broadcast the naturalist commentary on channel 24, the one they use for camera out of the front of the ship.

However, we found that he was hard to hear and we had to turn the volume way up to hear him well. But when he wasn't talking, they played music and it was much louder. So we kept the remote handy so we could mute it or be blasted.
