golf in St. John or Halifax

DH wants to play golf in one or both of these ports. Any suggestions??? Never been to these places so we have no idea what to expect. Any help would be appreciated!

Some of the cruiselines offer a golfing excursion to Rockwood Park in Saint John. Check your cruiseline website for Saint John excursions for more info.

There are no golf excursions offered through Princess cruise lines. We read about Rockwood park - how far is this from the pier???
