I hope we hear something soon.. I am excited already!!

Now when we book as a CC group, typically are the rates lower then what is advertised on CCL website considering we would be a large group? Our friends said count them in also.. So that would be be ava_girl_123 + 3..:D

All the "nice" beaches are on the south shore.

From what I have been reading that seems to be the trend. Quite a few beaches along the south shore

However this particular beach (tobacco bay) is protected by some rock structures and seems to be a favorite among snorkelers.

Just info I have read...Never personally been to Bermuda.

Ava, when you look at the CC Group price, and go no further,

they seem to be higher than the Carnival web site.

But once you factor in the total costs on the Carnival site. ie Gov and port fees.

Hopefully with the CC Group you get a nice OBC and maybe some other perks.

Take the value of those, and add that to the total final price Carnival is asking,

then deduct your CC price from that, and you will have your total savings.

For me, I just count the OBC as a value to add to the Carnival price.

CC trinkets, and goodies in the cabin, are worth something,

but not important to me as far a a good deal goes.

For example

CC Group Cabin price (two people) $1300 with Gov. and port fees added in.

Carnival site same cabin posts $1640 with Gov. and port fees added in.

Even if we do not factor in the OBC.

My CC Group Cabin is $340 less than the Carnival asking price.

Now that is for a Fun Select, because the one I am looking at is not offering a 8B with ES or Fun saver

and I wanted to give you apples to apples comparison.

Now if you add the value of the OBC that would be a $440 savings

if you were picking out your cabin on this sailing as a CC Group participant.

There is no way to know what will be offered,

but that is the way or similar it has worked out for me with my past CC Groups.

I hope you guys get a deal of a life time.

One that would make me say....Baltimore here I come :o

I tell you I am getting excited for you guys, last time that happened,

I found myself on the Dream  NO joke Sheryl can verify this :p

DH and I are very interested in this cruise! You can definitely add us to the list. We have never been on a CC group cruise before so this sounds like fun!!! I just finished reading the thread and saw that any group OBC is in addition to FFC OBC, but will Carnival allow us to combine the shareholder's OBC with them as well?

Welcome Shellann. Of course I will add you to the list. Not sure about the shareholder's OBC. I will send an email to ask about that. Will let you know when I know.

Ok email sent. May not hear until after the weekend though......

You will receive your shareholder OBC regardless of any Group OBC.

We are considering this cruise next year with a group of our own but would love to join the CC group. We have 5 couples definite and maybe several more. I am a member of CC but most of these folks have never cruised before. Do they need to sign up for CC and add themselves to your list? Once you have pricing info we can make a final decision. I know some of them would love the reduced deposit.

Hi there,

So glad you found us! No your friends do not have to be members of CC. The list I am keeping, right now, is just one for people who are interested in booking this cruise. Once it becomes Official, you will be able to see the prices and book the cruise on your own with the assigned CC TA. Everyone in your group would book themselves, just telling the TA that they want to be part of this group. She will know all about it and make the bookings. Then, you can come back and give me their names and categories booked.

Of course, we would love to have them join in the pre cruise fun by joining CC and posting.

Someone asked me about transferring to the group booking if they already booked Early Saver with Carnival. I emailed the CC TA and here is her response:

Hi Sheryl,

If someone is already booked directly with Carnival at the ES rate, they cannot be transferred in to the group. We actually have to cancel any reservation made directly with Carnival and rebook them in to the group which creates a brand new booking number. However, anyone can book in to the group directly at the ES rate they just wouldn't get the group amenity if there is any amenity offered and the same terms and conditions would apply for that promotion. I hope this makes sense. If you have any other questions, let me know. I'm looking forward to working with you again.

Have a great day,

I need to make sure I understand this correctly. We already booked under the ES rate and paid the full deposit plus travel insurance. If we were to cancel our booking and rebook with this CC group we would lose $50pp. Now what happens to that $50pp? Do they hold it for 2 years for another booking? I guess I'm trying to figure out if we are out of luck to join this group as part of the booking. I need to figure out how much money I will lose if I cancel compared to what I am getting with the CC group rate. Can anyone tell me if I am right or totally wrong please!!!! This ES stuff can be a little confusing :)

Hi all,

Been a great day, so far.

Anyone else looking for a cruise to Bermuda aboard the Carnival Pride? It's a 7 day itinerary, sailing from Baltimore, that spends 3 lovely days in Bermuda. We are hoping to set sail on Sept.18, 2011. Come on along!

OK, let's seriously think about the name we would like for the group. Would love to have one picked out for when we become Official. Once we have a name, I can begin to design a banner. Here's what we will do......vote for your favorite name once from the list below. We will vote until Wednesday, June 23. We will take the top 2 vote getters and vote for the winner. Voting will end on Friday, June 25. To vote, please copy & paste the list and add your X next to your chosen name.

REMEMBER, whatever name wins is the name that will be on our banner, and whatever else we decide to do like tshirts, etc. I have started with my vote.
