QM2 New Smoking Policy

I have read many previous threads about smoking on QM2, but after many threads of 16 plus pages......I'm still confused.

All I want to know is "what is the QM2's new smoking policy?" Where can I smoke??? Very simple question. I do not want to know about everyone's opinion on smoking. Please just answer this question. Thank you!!

Having just returned from the QM2 I can tell you that you can smoke in the cabin,on your balcony if you have one,on the deck in certain areas and in churchills.

I can say that some people were not happy but they went off to the places and smoked, I can also say that more people were happy about it than those not, from what I could hear, so dont quote me on it.

The casino is now smoke free and better for it, it was also much more busy than I had ever seen before on a UK/Euro cruise.

Some people had called for the boardroom to used as smoking, this room was used everyday on the 5 day cruise I was on.

I think thats about it.

I hope you enjoy your voyage and can enjoy your smoke as well-lets hope it does not become the normal hot bed of coals as always

You can smoke in your stateroom and balcony .

Churchills Lounge is the only indoor public space.

It is open 24/7.

Sometimes the daily program will mention where you can smoke on the open decks.Aft starboard on decks 7, 11, 12

had metal ashtrays on the walls. However my last trip was in october and Cunard leaves it intentionally vague now.

"Designated'' covers a lot of ground and possibly may include the outdoor bars on aft 8 and forward 12 decks.

Even last october you could only smoke indoors on the back wall of the grills lounge and the far back of the Golden Lion pub at a few tables near the darts. Not at the bar.At that time the casino was already one smoke free night per 7 day voyage.

So not a big change at all.

One can only hope Cunard doesn't go all Draconian and impose fines and put people off the ship to find their own way home.
