Plat C&A-luggage tags, departure lounge?

My next sailing on the LOS this fall will be my first at the Platinum level. I've read that on departure you have "special" luggage tags, as well as access to a departure lounge. Is this correct?

Also we're thinking about just carrying our bags off since we do not have a flight to catch, just going to pick up a rental car. If we do that, what time can we depart the ship?
