wizfourfam Posted February 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2005 We have booked Royal Caribbean Air since we are on a repositioning cruise from Miami to Newark. Anyone have experience with the EWR to DTW air? Do they use puddlejumpers AKA commuter jets? We have never flown the baby planes before....and are a little apprehensive (ok a lot!). The nonstop flights for this segment are big bucks. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
zurmoly Posted February 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2005 I do not BUT you can start looking for your own fare and if you see it cheaper, you can cancell the cruiseline's air up until final payment..
DanJ Posted February 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Depends on the airline you are using. A quick check of Northwest shows older DC-9's and 737's doing the route. Continental is showing older 737's and newer Embraer regional jets. You don't have anything to worry about if you are on a regional. They are hardly puddle jumpers, and are usually done up pretty nice compared to turboprop commuter planes. Plus the seats are 2x2, unlike the 737 and DC-9 which are 3x3 and 2x3.
