Tahitian Princess - 5 am Arrival

We know that we have a 5:00 am arrival for our cruise. What would be the best suggestion? Should we check in to a hotel and plan on staying until the early afternoon. I don't mind paying the price if we can find something reasonable as there are 4 of us and it would probably feel good just to be able to shower and just hang out for a few hours after traveling so long.

Thanks

If you booked your airfare through Princess, they will transfer you to the Sheraton to wait for embarkation to begin at around noon-1:00. We stayed at the Sheraton pre-cruise and that morning there were people who arrived early everywhere in the lobby and by the pool, some sleeping.

If you arrive at 5:00 AM it will be between 6:00-7:00 before you have cleared customs and get to the bus or taxi for transfer.

That only leaves a few hours before you are able to board the TP and be in your cabin.

Rates for day rooms are quite high in Tahiti, we checked into it for the last day, but when we found they were running about $200, which is about half of what the regular rate is, we changed our minds. There is very little that is 'reasonable' in Tahiti, I am afraid.
