Bus to and from Airport (islander)

Hi Islander or anyone. I was just wondering if there is a public bus that goes from the airport to Red Hook? Also would you know who might have the best deal to rent a car in July? Thanks in advance....

The public bus does go by the airport, there is actually a bus stop right along the main road by the airport parking area. How frequently they stop and whether the route that starts there actually goes as far as Red Hook, rather than downtown where you have to switch buses - I don't know. Try giving the bus operator a call and see if you can get more details on the airport stop: the number is (340) 774-5678. NOTE: This is for the actual public bus system, VItran (which is not the same thing as the dollar ride which is sometimes mentioned on this board!!).

 

For the car rental, best bet is to contact 3-4 different companies and compare prices.
