Any new remarks about Costa Deliziosa?

I am going on the Sept. 4 Baltic/Europe sailing.. just wondering who will be taking this cruise.

Also, who has taken this ship and what do you think of it? I am hearing mixed reviews about the food, drink packages, smoking issues? I am an asthmatic and CANNOT be near smoke. :(

I am hoping I can get upgraded to a nicer cabin too. I am confirmed in a L1 inside.

My family will be on this cruise (and the one before and the one after:))

 

I too have read the mixed reviews, but like our Costa cruise last year we went along with an open mind and had the best time.

 

The smoke issue was not really a problem last year on the Mediterania although some bars where very smokie.

 

Hope that you get an upgrade.

Just submitted a Deliziosa review, should be up in a ccouple of days. It's a positive one - I'd sail that ship again anytime. Crew were great, food was better than our last 2 trips on a 'more upmarket' competitor, and the cabins were a nice size - we had a balcony but my DM had an inside and it was really nice.

 

Never really noticed the smoking unless we walked through the casino. In the Grand Bar it was split 50/50, we did sit in the smoking area once - even that wasn't too bad, but sitting in the non-smoking side we never smelt a thing - and I'm an ex-smoker, the worst kind of non-smoker. :p

 

X1 package? If you want a drink with lunch and dinner buy it - it's well worth it.
