Grandeur Spa Steam / Sauna amenities...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm considering the Grandeur for a weekend trip this fall and was wondering if anyone might share some info on the current set-up & condition of the spa facilities on the ship (spa-ing is an important part of my cruising escapes).

Specifically, I'm concerned the spa facilities may have been removed or significantly altered as they were on the Enchantment (who's spa renovation some found disappointing).

I'd be interested to hear from folks who have RECENTLY sailed aboard the Grandeur regarding the following:

1) What was the overall condition of the spa areas?

2) Were the steam & sauna rooms still located within the men's locker room?

3) If so, how spacious & comfortable for relaxing would you say these facilities were and did they seem well-maintained?

Thanks in advance for any detailed information folks can share!!

Bon voyage,

I was on the Grandeur June 5-10 and used both the steam and sauna rooms in the women's locker room and my son used them in the mens. I can't give a first hand opinion on the men's but my son said his locker room sounded the same as the women's. The locker room was well-maintained and spacious with nice showers including a dispensor with wonderfully smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. This was different stuff than what was in the cabins. There were plenty of clean large towels. There were lockers and if you wanted a key you just needed to register for one at the front desk. If you did not require a locker there was no need to register to use the sauna and steam room. These rooms were both about the same size and spacious. I used both 3x and all 3x I was the only one using them. I did not use any other spa ammenities but I did walk through the relaxation room and that was very beautiful and quiet. If there are any other specific questions I can answer I'd be happy to.
