Carnival Shuttle from the Tampa airport

I have a couple of questions about the Carnival shuttle going from the Tampa airport(TPA) to the ship.

(1) Is there more than one Carnival shuttle? I am wondering if there are multiple shuttles since I cannot imagine that everyone will be able to get on one shuttle.

(2) If there is more than one shuttle, do they leave at different times? Or do they all leave at around noon from the Tampa airport?

The reason I ask these questions is that I would like to take a flight in on the day the cruise leaves. Delta from MSP arrives in Tampa at 11:23am, 12:41pm, and 1:13pm. I am aware how risky it can be to take a flight on the same day as your cruise. We sat at dinner with a couple whose airplane had mechanical problems that delayed there arrival at TPA until around 1:30 or 2pm. They were the last guests to board the ship. But I would still like to know what my options are for getting to the cruise ship from the Tampa airport on the day the cruise ship leaves port.

I believe the Carnival shuttle is $18 pp. A taxi to the port ( 9mi ) is $26 plus tip for up to 4 passengers. IMO this would be the way to go. You would not have to wait until the shuttle fills before it departs. There will be plenty of taxis right out the doors of baggage claim area.

Well, no doubt about it - A taxi for me instead of the Carnival shuttle! Thanks a lot!
