Dzibilchaltun Museum Closed

Recommended Posts

A good part of the attraction of visiting the Dzibilchaltun site, besides that overworked cenote, is the excellent museum (air conditioned too!) they have there. Unfortunately, that museum is closed for repair and renovation and there is no opening date as yet. Just a heads up for those folks who are thinking about visiting Dzibilchaltun.

My daughter and I were in Progreso this summer on a Monday which is the day the museum is normally closed. We still went ahead and took the riun tour and swam in the cenote-had a blast and loved every minute of it. The museum would have been great but don't pass up the Dzib ruins just because of this.
