OK, I need to run errands and be back in less than 2 hours. If I don't go now, we may have a toilet issue in our house later. That is no paper! and I don't want to be interrupted as I watch the departure!

See you all soon! :D

Wow... that would require a serious intervention! LOL... we'd have to get you pink slipped!! LOL :p Go do your errands and drive safely! Your excuse for an accident to get home to stalk a cruise ship might not go over too well with law enforcement!!!

You're going to miss it! I hope to catch it on the webcams between Noon and 1PM EDT when she's sailing out of Southhampton. :D

Here are the webcams I know about in the order that the Epic will pass them:

Southampton:

http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/webcams.htm

Cowes:

http://www.cowesharbourweather.com/webcam.aspx

Ryde:

http://www.ais-live.co.uk/aismap/AIS%20Maps/solentcam.html for webcam and AIS map

http://www.solentship.co.uk/Webcam/ for just the webcam

Ventnor:

http://www.burlingtonhotel.uk.com/webcam.htm

The last link is the hotel webcam which was mentioned in another thread. You will want to change the view to "Ventnor". I don't know if there will be a good view from that webcam. If she passes that Ventnor webcam, it will probably be a distant view.

Links for the new page so everyone can watch!! :D

ooohhh 0.2 knots it's moving!

I saw that too... not sure what she's doing but she's still tied up there. Maybe we'll go do something and she'll sneak off when we can't see her!:D

I can only do this until 1PM EDT and then I have to move on to other things so someone get SpongeBob off the bridge and get her moving already!!! :D

Earlier in this thread someone asked how fast the Epic would need to go to make NYC in time. This is my calculation:

Each 1 knot is equal to 1 nautical mile per hour

Per Google there are 2967 nautical miles between Southampton and NYC

The cruise is about 7.5 days which is 180 hours

So I get an average speed of 16.5 knots (2967 / 180) for the Epic to make NYC the morning of July 1.

Of course this delay is not helping the average. ;)

There are no webcams right at the port you have to use the marine traffic website.

http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?zoom=10&mmsi=311018500&centerx=-2.188832&centery=47.28401#

The big blue ships are passenger ships.

I have that open, too. I thought people were actually seeing the ship herself somewhere. I was about to be frantic!
