ajpack Posted February 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2005 I'm leaving for the Dominican Republic tomorrow and started to feel like I was getting a cold on Thursday. Bought "Airborne"---has anyone used this, and if so does it work? I've been taking it for the last 2 days and the cold hasn't really come into "full bloom", but could be it just hasn't started yet. doree Posted February 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Never heard of airborne, but Zicam is supposed to work very well if you take it when you feel a cold coming on!!!! Lots of friends have used it!
Renorita Posted February 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2005 I have used it and it seems to help. When I started getting a scratchy throat which for me can lead to worse symptoms, I took it and the next day I was fine. I am a nurse and some of my co-workers swear by it. I also like to use it when I fly, due to the poor circulation and the crowds on the airlines. You do have to hit it at the very beginning before the cold catches hold. ajpack Posted February 5, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Well, maybe it's working because the cold hasn't developed yet. I bought antihistamines and ear planes (just in case) so my ears wouldn't bother me when we land.
teajak Posted February 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Airborne works for us, stops the colds or limits them to one or two days.I keep it on hand, if you catch a cold early it works best. We always take it when flying, one the day before and one the day we fly.
