whats the transfer time to the wyndham?

It says duration 4.5hrs, beach time 2 hrs, i was looking at it on carnival. It cant be that far to cable beach from the port, anyone know?

15/20 minutes max. each way. It's less than 5 miles, but traffic can be a pain since there is construction along the way.

You can grab a cab for about $12 for 2 ppl .. or the #10 jitney from downtown for $1.25 ppl.

Great thanks, can we family of 4, just buy a day pass at the door. Will prob be cheaper than carnivals, as they want $79ea

Yes, Wyndham passes are $40 for the day.. includes a buffet lunch at the Seaside buffet (indoors near the casino.).

Take the #10 jitney from downtown.. ($1.25 pp)

OKAY now I am realy confused. We are on a tight budget, but trying to get the most for what we can out of this.

so now I see there is a Lacaya day pass, a wyndam day pass and a sheraton day pass??

Has anyone done any or all of them? My DH says, why would I get off the ship to pay for a swim in the pool??

any suggestions?

If you want to swim in a hotel pool, you'll need to pay for a day pass. I don't understand why you're husband would think otherwise.

These hotels are in business to make money.. Allowing cruisers to use the pools and beaches the same as their paid guest would be a disaster.

I've been on all three properties. All three are fine for a day at the beach or in the pool. Wyndham includes lunch.

There are free beaches on both islands. No amenities, but it's free.

Do a search for Cabbage Beach or Junkanoo beach in Nassau.

Lucaya has a free beach access area.. but you can't use the amenities, restrooms, pools or chairs/towels.

thanks for the information.

I think it sounds lovely to go to a hotel pool. I REALLY understand they need to charge.. DH just says, he can swim on the ship, why should he get off to go find a pool.... That is just how my DH is...

Gotcha..

if you're looking for a great pool.. I'd suggest the Sheraton. They have several, including a zero entry and a waterfall.

Thanks for your help. Now DS 18 said, I don't need to get off the ship either. ... I give up..

Leave your husband and son on the ship and go have a good time. I oftentimes explore ports alone when I travel. My SO was a seaman... all he wanted to do was check out the other ships, pilot boats and tugs in the area. I go off and do my own thing and then meet him later for something we can enjoy together. Best of both worlds.

Nassau is easy to navigate...

Well I just think I will explore on my own. I am NOT the bravest person out there, but in a group I don't mind shopping and doing tours.

The older my husband gets, the more scrooge like he becomes. Oh well, that doesn't need to stop me.
