Figured i would try forward know Thanks We were in 10500 and our friends in 10502 last October/November -located in the same position as 10002. Part of that was in colder weather Canada/ New England and part warm weather in the southern areas. We went out on the deck in all weather. We did close the heavy portection doors at night. They ask you not to have your deck light or bright inside lights on at night. 10002 & 10502 have very big decks. 10500 & 10000 are larger inside the cabins and have bigger windows. We loved those cabins.
Duff Man Posted June 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2010 We have been in 10502 a several times, and we love it. You can use the baloncy when the ship is moving. It could be windy depending on where the ship is, the speed, and the weather. It never has really bothered us or stopped us from using the balcony, except for really windy days when the ship is full speed. I could see where it would be an issue in cold weather. On calm nights, we might prop open the door while we sleep. At night you can have your cabin lights on, but you must keep the curtains and door closed. The light interferes with the lookouts in the bridge up above (we learned this our very first night in the AC). No big deal. If you want to use the balcony, just turn your lights off, open the door and head out. There is enough light to see. We love going out there late at night. There is something peaceful about it. On our Med cruise, in the Adriatic, where is was very calm and little wind, one night we lounged out there until the sun came up, it was great! I guess you can tell that I give the AC a thumbs up! Meg&Sam Posted June 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2010 I was in this cabin when we took the Jewel to St. Petersburg. Was not able to have the storm door open when we crossed the North Sea as the spray was coming over onto the balcony. When it was calm it was lovely and I loved being able to see where we were going.
