zackiedawg Posted February 22, 2011 #604 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Nice work Roff - I prefer the ominous trees - though I don't know if that's a sign of my personality! ;) Dileep - love the geese...that would be some sight to see that many taking flight at once - I wish I was in a bit more of a migration cross path like that. LOL. I kind of like the dark trees better also. And, ditto on Dileep's photo. Nice one. Reminds me of scenes from the NOVA series. Larry

Rare pierces Posted February 26, 2011 Author #611 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I'm really enjoying the new camera. Nice, sharp images... Especially considering it's the kit lens cropped from this shot! Every generation moves ahead just that much more! Dave

zackiedawg Posted March 2, 2011 #614 Share Posted March 2, 2011 A little swamp scenery from my new camera this weekend!: Taken out at the wetlands reserve where I do much of my birding - I brought the little NEX along so I could snap wide shots in between the birds, while my A550 kept the big lens on. Rare TLCOhio Posted March 13, 2011 #618 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Spring is getting much closer! It was wonderfully sunny yesterday (and today) and getting much warmer here in Ohio. Went out and took some pictures of the Spring bulbs coming up and our two dogs, Roxie and Rudy. Below are a few of those pictures. Have a new iPhone and made a little video slideshow featuring those pictures using composer Antonio Vivaldi's Spring Allegro as the background/theme music. Great fun!!! THANKS! Enjoy! TheRoff Posted March 19, 2011 #624 Share Posted March 19, 2011 Nice one Justin. Amazingly sharp. How long was the exposure? Larry
zackiedawg Posted March 19, 2011 #625 Share Posted March 19, 2011 It was 1/125 at F18, ISO200. Remember, it's a bright sunny day on the moon when it's night here - so exposures are just as they'd be in daylight - when shooting the moon closeup, use the old Sunny 16 rule!
