cruisebabe50 Posted June 28, 2010 #51 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Are you by any chance on any medications or antibiotics? Some of these counteract the sunscreen. I am currently living near Fort Myers and so many people get horribly sunburned, even people that have lived in Florida their whole lives. I know it is painful (been there done that) , so sorry and I hope you feel better soon. Generally a couple of days out of the sun will take care of it. If you have any large blisters though, you might want to see a doctor.
SusanC67 Posted June 28, 2010 #52 Share Posted June 28, 2010 staying hydrated helps and keeping the skin moisturized will help also.
jt1120 Posted June 28, 2010 #53 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Meliisa. I live in Naples year-round and can tell you that our sun this time of year can be downright dangerous. During the summer, we stay out of the sun as much as possible. All you have to do is look at it and you're burned. Hopefully your cruise will make up for it. BTW, thanks for coming to Naples. We love our tourists!
