Is it possible to catch a ferry over to Ambergris Caye? Has anyone done this and if so, how long does it take and what is the cost? Is it worth the time to do this? I have no fear about getting on the first tender as we are platinum members with Carnival. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

well the two water taxi services merged recently and have a new schedule out. If you catch the earliest one, you might be able to do a quick tour of San Pedro and grab a bite to eat. Remember the times are Belize times and your ship time may be different.

Oh, and the $ fares on the web site are Belize $ not US. Figure $1 Belize = US 50 cents, roughly.

We caught a cab to the muni airport and flew over. Kinda pricey though.

Snorkeled with Aqua Dives, ate a nice lunch, consumed some Belikins and flew back with about an hour and a half left before the last tender to the ship. Fun day.
