Aegean Pearl - Greek Isles 4 day cruise

We recently returned from 14 day trip to Greece, which we began with a 4 day - 7 stop cruise through the Greek Islands. The trip is virtually identical to the one on the Aquamarine, its just a nicer ship.

 

The Aegean Pearl is not much more that transportation from one location to the other, and a great way to relax and cover a lot of territory in a very short time. The food was OK, about the same as a a Carvinal line. They offer a full (almost full) beverage program, which is a very good deal (about 30 Euros/day) if you like a program. The ship is very old if not the oldest on the water, so don't expect more than a bed, and bath. Virtually all the cabins are twin beds, which cannot be put together. The evening shows were actually very good. The dance and singers where from the Ukraine, and actually better than I have seen on Celebrity and Princess ships, but without the stagework. The piano bar duet was good, the other duet was horrible. The only thing that was both unusual and reduced momentum, was every public announcement, show discussion included, was made in 4 if not 5 languages.

 

In the Greek Isles, Louis cruise lines have excellent shore excurisions. The only place we did take a ship tour was in Patmos where the Excursion desk recommended that we didn't due to our personal desires of moving fast.

 

The passengers were a lot of highschool and college students, as well as a variety people from every continent of the world.
