cruisebec Posted June 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2010 hello everyone, i am new to this forum and i have been on just 1 cruise, last year on island escape. we absolutely loved it,me,my hubby and 2 kids. we have booked the thompson dream for the 3rd August 2010. Last year we had 2 cabins. This year we have booked a deck 5/6 outside plus with bunks. Do the bunks have rails on to stop you falling out? do they have ladders to climb into them? many thanks:)
Garyorient Posted June 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2010 No ladders. You need to practice your high jump before you go on your cruise............also it is worth putting a spare matress on the floor to cushion the impact when you fall;) But seriously.......................... definately ladders and definately bars stopping you fall. Helath and safety would not have it any other way, and furthermore, imagine the scenario with an old and arthritic passenger needing to sleep in the bunk bed. You will be fine.............enjoy!!!!!
