thelion Posted June 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2010 If you booked prior to May 17, 2010 you can get the difference as onboard credit. After May 17, you cannot do this. You can change categories, but you will be paying the same price. No price reductions allowed after final payment when booked after May 17. thelion Posted June 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2010 thelion, thank you! that's very helpful to know... booked in april so i just qualify :) One thing to keep in mind is that the lower price has to be available to you. You cannot use this option with any pricing that is "new bookings only." So, Tuesday sales are out.

BUT, if you qualified for the OBC, then you are still under the old rules and the OBC is refundable if not used, go to the Guest Services desk on the last day and draw out any balance in cash
Jimnbigd Posted July 1, 2010 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2010 Be sure to use your OBC for the cruise tips. This can use up $70 per person for a 7 day cruise. I suppose in the worst case, if you still have several hundred dollars of unused OBC, you can go to the casino, use the OBC to get gambling money (for a fee on RCI I think), then keep the cash or cash in the chips.
