Fitnessmaniac Posted July 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2010 Where do you purchase travel insurance? Is RCCL's as good as going to another vendor? thanks. :)
angel258 Posted July 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2010 Where do you purchase travel insurance? Is RCCL's as good as going to another vendor? thanks. :) I think 3rd party insurance companies are probably better, provide more coverage and are usually cheaper than the cruise line. You can use sites such as insuremytrip and squaremouth to compare multiple policies from various insurance providers.

dirtgirl Posted July 6, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Cruise line insurance generally only offers $10,000 in emergency medical, which is not nearly enough. Though most do have a 'cancel for any reason and get a credit' type of policy, you need more medical coverage than what they provide. Insuring yourself for extra medical is relatively cheap. It's the cancellation insurance that is the pricey part of travel insurance.
