Freeport beach question

I have read several threads about Nassau & Freeport and am thankful for the information! :D In Freeport, which beach do we need to go to - never have been there.?.? Taino Beach, Our Lucaya, Island Seas Resort, Coral Beach Hotel, Reef Village, Wyndham? I was looking at a day pass to the Wyndham? Anyone tried this? I know it is cheaper to call the hotel directly rather than do the excursion from Carnival. How far is it to the beach area from the port? What is the best way to get to the beaches? (We already have booked a day room pass at the Sheraton in Nassau.) Besides the beach, what else do we need to do at either place? ANY INFO WILL BE HELPFUL AND APPRECIATED!!! :)

1. Reef Village and Our Lucaya are one in the same. This is where Port Lucaya Marketplace is, where the shuttle from the cruise ship goes for $5pp. Beach chairs, pool and restrooms will run $20pp. The cruise ships are wising up to this, and starting to offer their own excursions there, so expect the passes to be disappear before long.

2. It is about 20 minutes from the cruise port to any of those beaches.

3. Which beach you go to is up to you. If you want snorkeling and less people, Coral Beach is a good bet. If you want watersports and shopping then Our Lucaya. If you want watersports, but not shopping have a few native bars to walk to, then Island Seas is good. If you don't need watersports, but want to walk to some native bars, and want public restrooms that are free, then Taino Beach is good. The Wyndham is the only all-inclusive, but expensive. I doubt the Wyndham will sell you a pass if you are on a ship that offers it as an excursion. They could lose their contract, especially Carnival is tough on those things.

I'm trying to figure out what to do in Freeport.... and understand what I am reading.

Is Our Lucaya an "area"? With shopping, casino, bars & beaches?

If I understand that correctly, which beaches are there in this area? Where would a shuttle (taken from the ship port) drop us off exactly? Or would tell them specifically where to drop us?

Our Lucaya is the name of a resort. There is a beach there called Lucayan Beach. You can walk down the beach to reach Coral Beach. The shuttle will drop you at Port Lucaya Marketplace, a shopping and entertainment center across the street from Our Lucaya. You don't need to tell them where to go, they will only go this one spot.

Thanks for the clarification... I think I understand it better now. But, for my next question.... Is there a charge to use the beach area at the Our Lucaya resort? Or would you suggest another beach in that area?

Beaches are all public and free in Freeport. If you want to use the pool or chairs then I think they charge about $20pp at Our Lucaya.
