Has anyone used Bermuda Brides?

Hello! I have a cruise booked for April 23rd out of Bayonne, NJ heading to Bermuda. I originally was going to book through Royal Romance for the wedding aspect of it because of the "safety" factor; however I can't seem to find one positive experience with them at least for a shoreside ceremony! It's only in the first week of planning and I am already finding it hard to contact anyone over the telephone!

 

I have read many great articles on Bermuda Brides, but haven't talked to anyone who has actually planned a wedding through them. Is there anyone out there that has booked through them or has anything to share in regards to the company/staff?

 

I am looking to spend no more then $7000 on my ceremony - including transportation, flowers, chairs, cake, champagne, and an hour of photography. Do you think I will have any luck?

 

I feel as though the celebration package that Royal Caribbean has to offer is a bit of a rip off after reading it carefully, so I was thinking about doing the following: scheduling a dinner for my entire group at Portofino's Specialty Restaurant on the ship and have a 2 hr package of beer/wine/soda for my guest during their dinner and then head over to one of the clubs for some good dancing.

 

What do you guys think?? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked out BDW? I think most of the brides on this board have gone through the cruiseline, but you'll be able to get a lot of destination wedding information on BDW.

It's doable for under 7 grand. We had 20 people including ourselves, site fee, cake, photographer, champagne, transportation for 5 grand. That's not including treating everyone to dinner at Portofino's on the ship afterward. I did do fake flowers, but for 2 mothers bouquets, mine and the MOH along with 2 boutonnieres was about $450ish.
