Messina/Taormina shopping

DH and I off on our cruise tomorrow. We are visiting Messina and I wonder if anyone has any info about shoe shops in Messina or Taormina. We visited Taormina last year but were pushed for time so didn't have too long to browse. We have longer this time and DH wants to go shoe shopping! Very unusual for him it's usually me that loves the shops but he does like Italian footwear. Any ideas gratefully received.

Taormina has the best overall shopping by far, but I don't know about shoe shops.
