Recommended Posts

Wanting to take in as much of the fall color (via land or water) as possible week of Oct 2. Wanting advice on best excursions, private or ship booked. Port times in PEI 1PM to 6 PM, Corner Brook 2 PM to 7 PM and Quebec full day and evening. Information greatly appreciated

For Quebec City, look at the tours offered by Viator.com or

www.toursvieuxquebec.com , click on Old Quebec Tours for English. You will have time to take a half day tour to the countryside or a city tour and have time left to walk the city.

For Corner Brook, since you aren't there very long, I would suggest taking the ship tour to the Captain Hook Monument. That will get you out of town a little to some beautiful scenery. Hopefully there will still be time left to walk the Corner Brook Stream Trail. It is within walking distance of the pier and is a really nice area, the colors are beautiful.

When you look at the map, the red star to the right of the pulp mill is the area of the pier. It is free, copy the map to take with you.

Do a search on the Ports of Call - Canada page where you posted this. Look towards the top of the postings to the right of the blue bar.

There have been many previous postings for these ports.

Your cruise seems to have very short times in port. For PEI I would still think about renting a car and driving to the North Shore (Cavendish) and then East through the National Park along the coast. Be sure to take in North Rustico.

For Quebec, I would just walk and soak in the atmosphere. There are lots of shops and restaurants and lots of interest historically.
