sandinmypants Posted August 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Just wondering if anyone has experience with connecting rooms and noisy neighbors, or if this ship is pretty well insulated? I know it will depend on how noisy the neighbors are, but just wondering about normal room noises?
chotton Posted August 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2010 We had a connecting room on Brilliance (Serenade's Twin sister) and we never heard our neighbors once during the 10 days on the ship.
redhead621 Posted August 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2010 We have had several connecting cabins and noise from the neighbors in the adjoining cabin has never been an issue.
LABCHICK Posted August 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2010 We were on the Jewel (Serenade sister ship)and had a connecting cabin. Never hear anything coming from the cabin next to us. We did meet the couple in that cabin out on the balcony. It turned out that the lady use to live about 2 miles from us. Really small world getting smaller all the time. sandinmypants Posted August 2, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks for the replies. We decided to go with an ouside cabin, not a balcony, which is the one with the connecting door. Figured we would save a little on the price of the cabin and have more to spend on excursions!

teralin Posted August 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2010 I have always had problems with neighbours in adjoining cabins. On the Adventure, the light from the adjoining cabin used to light our cabin up at night so you can imagine that the noise was easily transferred through the gap too. We must be unfortunate because three times, we have had troublesome VERY noisy inconsiderate neighbours and I would never accept an adjoinng cabin again.
