KathyF. Posted August 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Traveling with younger kids (4 and 7) so that limits what we can do with the excursions. Any good ones anyone can suggest. Thought about something like the trolley tour as it's relatively short. And then maybe just going to the beach or shopping afterwards??
Rare crewsweeper Posted August 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2010 KathyF...just FYI, there is no beach near Belize City's Tourist Village. There is a beach locals use called Cucumber Beach but it requires a cab ride there and may not be open during weekdays. All other beaches in Belizes are either on the surrounding cayes or further south along the coast. As far as shopping, you're most likely limited to the shopping in the Tourist Village itself, where the tenders dock. There is a small flea market nearby with local crafts. A trolley tour or horse carriage tour could take you by there.
