Best cabins on Legend

We had 8174 and in laws had 8176 about 2 weeks ago. We did encounter some noise from Lido deck. I think the pool was right above us and they may have been some late cleaning one of the nights. Wasn't unbearable but annoying for sure. Enjoy your cruise!

I've not been on the Legend but my rule of thumb is always to get a cabin that has cabins on the deck above and below. I would not want to be under the pool, buffet area, etc. Some people prefer to be on a deck that is closest to the action, but an elevator ride or stair climb up a few decks is never too long.

We had cabin 8236 a couple of years ago. It was a great location. The only thing above it on the Lido deck was a restroom and the self serve ice cream. We heard no noise from above. It was easy to get to the Lido for food and coffee and it was the first of the balconies in that section and so there was nothing to obstruct your view forward. There are also very few cabins further aft than you so there is not much foot traffic in the hall.

We usually grab cabin 6230 (or thereabouts) whenever we are on Spirit-class ships. Cabins on all sides (left, right, above, below), no noise to speak of, and a great extended balcony to relax on).

Three flights up to the Lido Deck and Adults-only pool.

Three flights down to the Truffles Dining Room (and anytime dining).

Five flights down to the casino, sports bar, lounges, and other forms of entertainment.

We just stayed in 7258 and it was great. The balcony is huge, three times the length of a regular balcony because it is next to the stewards closet, but we never heard any noise from that. It's also right by the elevators and stairs. I'd try to get it if we sail the Legend again, for sure. It always comes up as a favorite in these posts, and now I know why!

How much noise is there from the elevators? What about people in general. Is it a noisy location?

We have this cabin in Nov and I'm really looking forward to that huge balcony!:D There are identical cabins with the huge balconies in the same location on the 6th and 8th floors as well...OP, check the deck plans (they are toward the aft on the port-left side).

We love being in the aft section of the ship...straight shot up to the adult pool and Lido, and straight shot down to the dining room:)

I'm not too good with posting pics in here, so I found a thread with a photo for you (you just key the cabin number in the search box at the upper right and it will pull up threads with that cabin number in it...sometimes you can find a pic;)). Here you go....you may have to scroll down to get to the post with the pic...

This is from the Pride, but the cabins are identical.

Very much agree. We just cruised the Legend and was in cabin 8241, same location as 8236 just on the opposite side of the ship. No noise issues and being the end balcony was nice. We also loved being right by the elevator that took us right down to the dining room. The only negative was the long haul to get to the Follies lounge.

It wasn't noisy at all. The elevator is on the other side of the steward's closet, and around a corner, so you don't hear it. I wondered if we would hear people getting on and off, but we didn't. It was pretty quiet overall... we had some noisy people two balconies over and our upstairs neighbor decided to run/walk laps in his/her cabin at 12:30 a.m. (that was really noisy for about 30 minutes), but that can happen anywhere, of course.

Our son was in Camp Carnival a lot on that cruise and it was a LONG walk to Camp Carnival from the room. All that walking allowed for more guilt free eating so it worked out.;)
