InfrequentCruiser Posted October 11, 2010 #26 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I also did that walk. It looks like this Tallinn is a terrific little city and because the dock is so close and within easy walking distance of your ship you can explore it fully without worrying about missing your departure time. So, here's a question for anyone on this thread. Is the dock at Tallinn close enough that one can walk around the town in the morning, return to the ship for lunch or a little rest, and then explore the town further in the afternoon, all on foot? Yes. It's a 10 minute walk each way from gangway to the Fat Margaret entrance, and no doubt very little more or less to the Viru gate entrance. LondonTowner Posted March 20, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 20, 2016 You can get maps and a guide for a free walking tour from the tourist office in the main square, or just google.
