X-Mas cruise to the South - out from San Juan

Vi are a family that is going for a 10 nighter over the hollydays. We will go o n the Serenade OS -

 

I was planning to use this tread to recive good ideas on what to look out for on a cruise like this. It is so many experienced cruisers out here that mighte spend some time to advice us what to do, and what to look out for.

 

Any ideas is wormley welcome.

Can you be more specific on what it is you're looking for advice on. I've done a Thanksgiving cruise on Royal, they had a turkey dinner on the actual day, I'd imagine they'd have the same thing for the Christmas day too.

We went on a Christmas Cruise a few years back.. spent Christmas Eve in Aruba, did a couples massage on the beach, was the best!!

The Christmas programs the ship had the kids do was really great.

 

Alot of people brought small gifts for their cabin stewards.

This is ideas I am looking for - will the cruise compass be a lot different than a Normal cruise, and what shold we plan for.

 

Yes we do travel with kids, and the program for them is also important.

Me and my DH are going to do the same 10 day cruise from Dan Juan. I would be grateful for any advice about what to pack for a cruise like that, bringing a gift for the cabin steward was a good tip! :D

Will it be a special dinner on 24th December in the Diningroom or is this a good nighte to have a special dinner in Portefinos ?

aruba has beautiful beaches. i also enjoy curacao.

My family is thinking about doing this cruise too! We want to do a holiday cruise but haven't chosen one yet. Anyone ever been on this cruise and like what it had to offer? Or any other holiday cruise? We are also debating the one out of New Jersey on Explorer.

We did pick this cruise since it was long - we need more than a week. So with adding on 7 days in Caribe Hilton we got the length on the vacation we needed..

 

I am also wondering about new years count down - how will they do this on the vessel.
