Only 3 day or longer count. Ive heard the CTN's also count, which can be just 2-days.

If I'm VIP and my kids in my cabin are not, do they get the $5 tokens? Nope, one platinum gift per platinum guest.

In red :)

Your kids will get platinum perks when they turn platinum.

Its just boarding, the whole cabin will have their cards in the same place, so they will put them all at VIP, and everyone's fun pass will say VIP.

Hello,

i thought this was a litle funny. Not being a snob or anything.../....

i was standing at a bar at the Lido deck pool area on my 10th cruise with my platinum card. A lady comes up and orders a drink and is all giddy with her Gold card. I'm not flashing it or anything and when i pay she looks at it and asks what that card is, i tell her platinum and u get it on your 10th cruise. She seemed a little diappointed.

I told not to worry, she will get one someday....

When our boys were Platinum...the kids would come into Camp Carnival and "flash" their gold card and laugh saying...."you are only silver".

The boys would just show them the card and say "can you read...the word is "platinum". :D

Now folks just ask our youngest what that white card is???? ;) (usually in the elevator)

Question. I am one cruise ahead of my husband. If we keep going like this and I reach Platinum first' date=' do I get priority check in but he does not even if we are in the same cabin?[/quote']

I did a Mom and Me cruise with our daughter and my husband did not come so he was one behind. Didn't matter as long as you are together in the cabin. We did not have a tender situation so I am not sure how that would have worked, maybe someone else has that answer...I suspect we were together so it may or may not have made a difference. By the next cruise we were both Platinum so we both got benefits. You also get 1 free slot tournament OR Blackjack tournament entry. You have to go to the casino for it and ask at the desk, they have a list with the Platinum passengers and give you 1 free entry. My husband usually doesn't like to play so I use both his and mine for the 2 tournaments on a 7 day cruise. He just has to sign for his and there are no names on the entry card (just says complimentary) so anyone can actually use it once you sign for it.

Not sure if this is a "regular policy" because Carnival is so inconsistent but my 9th cruise was the first leg of a back to back and the second cruise would be my 10th and I would be Platinum. When we went through the line to get on the ship, my husband ask about the 10th cruise for me (the second leg of our back to back) and whether I would be Platinum on that cruise or was it after the 10th cruise (actually the 11th) She said the 10th but then said if it was a back to back to take my gold card to the service desk and they would chance it to a platinum card for the first cruise too because we weren't getting off the ship. Not sure how "official" it was for them to do that but, if your 9th and 10th cruises are a back to back, try asking if they will change it when you get on board, and give you Platinum for the first cruise too. We never would have known to ask. I would wait to ask on the ship, I am sure that if you called Carnival they would say no but it never hurts to ask on board and you never know....

Everyone in a Cabin with a Platinum member (regardless of age) will get:

VIP check in and debarkation

Their individual card will reflect Blue, Gold or Platinum (depending on the number of cruises they have been on)....

"minor children" of a Platinum member (staying in another cabin) will get VIP Check In and Debarkation.

Also, any age person staying in another cabin will be VIP Check In and Debarkation IF a Platinum member is paying for their Sail and Sign account.

does every crusie count..... no matter the length?

Yes every cruise counts despite length.

It is a much debated topic on how credits should acrue.

Some cruise lines base on number of days sailed, or if booked a suite as some cruise lines give double credit for that
