SISer Posted August 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2010 At the ports of call? If so, how? Thank you.
seashinesunshine Posted August 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2010 There is no one there to stamp passports. Walking off the ship is like walking out of a hotel in America, with the only exception, you need to scan your sign and sail card. I think you would have to find a government office of some type. hubert9999 Posted August 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2010 I did not see an place to stamp the passport either but pls ask around. This same question was asked sometime back and appearantly some travellers managed to get their pasport stampen in one or a couple of the ports. Be aware do not loose eyesight of your passport. It is your most important document in a foreign country
SISer Posted August 19, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted August 19, 2010 Where do I ask for a stamp, on the ship or at the port? I'm confused.
seashinesunshine Posted August 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Where do I ask for a stamp, on the ship or at the port? I'm confused. In port somewhere, the ship is just transportation, there are no customs or anything on board, even at the ports when you get on and off, the customs are located on land. :)
reno3 Posted August 20, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2010 I have read in the past if you give your passport to the purser desk they will "try" and get it stamped for you. I don't know if they still do this or not. I don't like the idea of giving "anyone" my passport so I skip getting it stamped.

cruisingwiththegang Posted August 24, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 24, 2010 At the ports of call? If so, how? Thank you. When on the Valor, we took our passports to a room near the information desk, they had officials there and we had our passports stamped Belize. gusandgidgetsmom Posted August 25, 2010 #10 Share Posted August 25, 2010 I have always had my passport stamped as my grandkids like to see them. Just take it to the Pursers desk the first night, ask them nicely if they would have it stamped at each port. They will do that for you and then call you the last ngiht on the ship to come pick it up. I have never been told no.
