We brought wine and rum on the ship and they didn't confiscate it. We packed it (with bubble wrap) in with our clothes and enjoyed it all week while getting ready for dinner.

We brought wine on the Splendour (2/5/05) in our carry ons. I had one large bottle, another couple had 2 large bottles. No problem!

We packed wine along with a six-pack of bottled Diet Coke in a soft-sided cooler we use for our vacations. We handed it off to the porters with the rest of our checked luggage and it arrived in our room safe and sound.

I even saw a few pepole with whole cases of beer on those little luggage rollers. They were getting checked right in.

My husband always takes the boxes of wine (the 4-5 liter ones) in our carry-ons. We have never had a problem.
