Hi -this is our first cruise and going on Valor in November-We have learned a lot from these boards-Thank you all. We are going from MIA to the Docks by cab and were wondering if anyone had a suggestion on where to tell our driver to stop for our 2 bottles of wine and pop/soda as our carry on. Thank you

You don't mention where you are staying. If you are at the Holiday Inn across from Bayside, realistically you could walk to the Publix and get what you need. Have a great cruise.

Thanks-we are flying in on the morning of our cruise so we are going directly from the airport MIA to the docks.\. Just want to be able to tell cab driver name so we don't get a tour of Miami:)

I was wondering the same thing, as we did not want to pack a case of diapers on the flight, and we get in LATE the night before...

I guess a google search will have to do.

We have stayed at the HI-POM previously and will be staying there again on 9/05. I wasn't aware of a Publix within walking distance. You stated "realistically", just about how far of a walk is it?

Publix is the local grocery store and they are ubiquitous. Also, you can have your cab driver stop at Wallgreens or CVS. They all sell wine and pop.

 

FYI, the cab is a flat rate of $26 from the airport to POM. If you throw a stop in there, then all bets are off and you're on the meter. Just something to be aware of.
