awsmrn Posted February 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We were thinking of doing an excursion post cruise in Miami. Has anyone done this? Tell us what you did and what to expect. Thanks!
SailingDoug Posted February 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We took the post cruise and went to south beach. It was very nice, had lunch there, after we were done it took us to the air port, with lots of time before we left at 6pm. Was not that expensive also
celticd1 Posted February 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We booked the Parrot Jungle tour after our Valor cruise. It was recomended for people with flights after 3PM. Our flight was at 3:09PM so we felt safe taking the tour. In hindsight we should've taken a cab on our own (Parrot Jungle is only about a mile away). I'm not sure how we would've dealt with our luggage, but I think they must have some kind of accomodations for that sort of stuff. The tour buses will be waiting outside the terminal. We were supposed to start at 10:30AM but we ended up waiting until around 11:30AM because some of the people in our group had not cleared customs or could'nt find their luggage or whatever. As a result we had less time at Parrot Jungle and we didn't make it to the airport until 2PM. Since we were late arriving at the airport and we didn't have boarding passes yet, we were told there were no more seats. On the plus side, we were upgraded to first class. So, I suggest doing it on your own.
