Dining

I will be traveling on a Carnival ship in the next few months. I understand that Carnival does not allow you to choose table size for any dining times? Is this true? We actually prefer to be able to request - can this be done?

Depends. If you have traditional dining, you can ask to be changed if you are unhappy with your assignment. If you have Your Time Dining (or Any Time Dining or Open Seating Dining), you can request a table size.

Though I think if you Platinum you can request a table size for traditional dining. I'm sure one of the many Platinum cruisers here will correct me if I am wrong.

When you board, go to the diningroom (open around 1:30) and see what your table assignment is - if it is not to your liking ask the Maitre d to change it to what you want. I have always gotten what I want. Just remember to tip him at the end of the cruise.
