We were on the Spirit (how appropriate) last year & our last night, October 25, we had a Halloween party & costume contest. It was a blast & I don't usually even like Halloween. The costumes were great & quite a few people dressed up. I was so glad that we decided at the last minute to take costumes. Some of them were very innovative. A woman dressed as a Carnival towel animal won. She was adorable! They decorated the ship that day. It was one of our favorite memories of the cruise!

I had the same question... I'm on the Legend sailing ON 10/31. I finally broke down and send John Heald a message yesterday on his blog asking what the schedule would be, considering we sail ON Halloween, and who knows when luggage will show up.

Will let you know what I find out (in 3 weeks!)! :D

Last year we were on the Pride and Halloween was on Saturday night. Carnival had a party on Friday the 30th (everyone packing to go home on Sat), but it was fun. The ship was decorated nicely and a LOT of people were dressed up. They had a dance in the main lobby of the ship and chose the 20 best costumes...then moved to the show lounge where the audience chose a winner. I went in thinking this would just be some small thing and picked up a costume in a bag at Party City, but there were a lot of really creative, homemade costumes. The winner last year....Urkel!!
