Hair straightners... cant bring them on???

my DD and her DH recently returned from a Carnival cruise and were advised that they could not bring on her hair straightner device... it was taken and was retuned on the last evening... (right next to the device were 3 bottles of alcohol that made it on fine)....

 

anyone else ever have this issue????:cool:

What kind of "device" was it? If I couldn't bring my hair appliances, I wouldn't cruise....that simple!

I've always taken my flat iron and wouldn't cruise without it. Love me - love my flat iron. :p

My daughter and I were on Oasis in early Aug. and had no trouble with a flat iron. We also took our flat irons on Liberty over the holidays last year.

 

I agree with previous posters--how would we look so stunning on formal nights without them?!!:)
