waiting for kid activities on Oasis or other RCI

We are thinking about taking our son and his family on a cruise. We were wondering what the usual wait is for activities such as the water slide and whatever else there is. The kids are 4 & 8. We have not decided whether it is worth it to go on Oasis/Allure or just do a newer Royal Caribbean.
