elfie Posted August 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2010 We will be traveling with our 10 year old DD on RCCL Brillance 11/11/10 and am wondering if anyone has any idea if there are very many children cruising at this time of year? We have a lot of port days and as an only child she is usually great just hanging with us, but I would love it if she had other kids to interact with on at sea days. Does anyone have any feedback on how the kids programs are on this type of cruise? We have done the Carribbean several times and the programs were great, but we were also traveling during school breaks. I have been preparing DD for the cruise by telling her there probably won't be any kids programs or any kids her age on the ship. She keeps saying she doesn't care, but I think it would be more fun for her to have some nonparental time.
cb at sea Posted August 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2010 There will be other kids onboard...have no fear. Just like you, alot of others do take kids out of school to cruise. You may not have a ton of kids, but there will be some!
cantwait2cruize Posted August 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Phone the cruise line and ask how many kids are on your sailing.:)

elfie Posted August 29, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Phone the cruise line and ask how many kids are on your sailing.:) What a great idea! I swear some of the best ideas are the simplist (and the most obvious). Thanks for the great info.
Wilda Posted August 29, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Generally speaking the longer the cruise, the less kids. Having said that we have cruised the first week in December the past two years and there were lots of kids on board! We are scheduled for a 9 nighter in Dec. and have no doubt there will be lots of others for our 10 year old GS to play with.
