Victory out of Dominica

We're on the Victory the week of 12/5/10. Look for me on Tuesday that week. I'll have my " I was to be in Dominica today but instead all I got is this lousy T-shirt" on.

If you go, let them know, but have fun with it. No one wants a bunch of angry passengers on their ship with them. I know I don't!!!!

I'm not on that cruise (a couple more months away), but I love that shirt idea!!!!! :D

:(I spoke to my Carnival rep yesterday, and asked about any credit for them dropping this port, and I was told there would not be any.

I am sailing on Dec. 5, 2010.

:mad:We choose this itinerary for its ports and no "fun days at sea" for our annual family cruise in Jun 2011. We have 25 people/10 cabins already booked and airfare purchased so cancelling is not an option now. We got this same "too bad so sad" story from our Carnival rep when we called to see if they were going to at least give us on board credits for holding us captive for a day as Carnival was going to save $$$ on port charges/fees and make $$$ in the bars, casino, etc.

Needless to say family cruise 2012 will not be on Carnival.

P.S. From reading all the posts, sounds like Dominica would have been a beautiful port to visit. Sorry we're going to miss it.

I'm so glad I searched CC before booking this cruise. Smartcruiser.com still lists Dominica as part of the itinerary for the May 8th sailing. I'm shocked that Carnival won't refund the port fees as OBC. That's ridiculous and very poor customer service.

If they make a permanent itinerary change, the port fees should also change, and you should see the adjustment when your final payment is due.

You only get OBC if they cancel a port after you have paid for the cruise.
