Hi,

just read another thread where a poster stated you need to buy travel insurance within two weeks to cover pre-existing conditions.

i haven't yet and i booked probably 3-4 weeks ago. we are traveling in april. we have no ill family members or anything, but are we screwed in terms of getting good travel insurance? i was under the impression i could wait a little while to purchase, i planned on purchasing later this month.

was i stupid to not purchase it within 2 wks of booking?

You can still get insurance, but as you mentioned pre-existing conditions wont be covered. Check out www.insuremytrip.com for companies and quotes.
