Water taxi / Ferry

About how far from the Pan America pier does the ferry dock and approx taxi fare from there to the pier.

I can't remember the exact fare, but I think it's between $9-$15 dollars. $9 is the cheapest fare taxi's charge for travel in one zone. The Pan Am pier is right outside Old San Juan, but not within walking distance. It takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

The water taxi goes across the bay to an area called Cantano(or something close). It costs 50 cents. There isn't much touristy over there, except the Bacardi Factory.
