stefyo Posted September 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2010 St. Martin or St. Thomas??? Hubby wants to dive in one of these ports - any recommendation for either would be appreciated. Thanks!
Capt_BJ Posted September 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2010 define "better" on any given day one might be FANTASTIC or fair if the last time he's "gotten wet" was a few years ago . . . it won't matter. Dove 'em both many times. Sometimes very very good - sometimes very average. Always better than a lake in Wisconson . . . St Martin SOUNDS more exotic doesn't it? St Thomas gets more divers . . . The Flying Pirate Posted September 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2010 St Thomas by far. I have been to both several times and the visibility in St Thomas has been consistantly better than St Maarten. There are good dive sites at both, but if you can only dive one I would definitely plan to dive St Thomas. What is your experience level as a diver? I might be able to recommend a dive site for you.
