car rental near port of Miami?

There is Thrifty Car Rental http://www.thrify.com located right in the Port of Miami. I read my reservation confirmation (post-cruise) and it stated that I would need to call for dockside pick-up to the Thrifty office. I'm sure pre-cruise, they'll also shuttle us over to our dock.

 

There are probably a few other national brands, but I know Thrifty for sure as I booked cars from/to the airport from the Port of Miami for both of our upcoming pre-cruise and post-cruise Florida land vacations.

Actually there are no rental car facilities ON Dodge Island (Port of Miami), but many of the majors will pick you up and take you to their facility which is usually the one at MIA. Some companies have facilities in downtown Miami they will shuttle you to, but NONE have cars AT the port anymore.

Hertz has a car location in Downtown Miami on 1st Ave, not terribly far from the Port. Give them a call and they'll give you all the information you need.
