Some news just released in Oz.

THE FIRST ACCOLADE WAS PRESENTED AT THE

Virtuoso Travel Mart in Las Vegas, where

advisors of the luxury travel network,

Virtuoso, selected Silversea as the “Best

Small-Ship Cruise Line” for 2010.

Silversea also scooped its first travel

industry award in China.

The cruise line was named “Best Luxury

Cruise Operator” at the 2010 China Travel &

Meetings Industry Awards 2010 in Beijing.

The company was again named “Best

Small Ship Cruise Line” at Condé Nast

Traveller Readers Awards in London.

Voted for by the readers of the leading UK

travel magazine, the cruise line received an

overall score of 90.37, placing the company

42nd in the World’s Top 100 Travel

Companies.

Silversea also scored 94.66 for décor and

ambiance and 95.54 for the onboard food

and beverage experience.

“We are honoured to receive these three

outstanding accolades in the span of two

weeks,” said Steve Odell, Silversea’s senior

vice president Asia Pacific.

“This recognition reaffirms our dedication

to providing guests with the ultimate cruising

experience.”

Silversea will be returning to Australasian

waters this summer, with Silver Shadow

embarking on her first circumnavigation

voyage of Australia.

The new Silver Spirit will also make maiden

calls into Australia and New Zealand as part

of her epic World Cruise.

Whilst individual awards don't usually interest me. 3 different awards, almost similtaneously (SP?) in 3 different continents around the world bodes well for SS.

All presented from 3 different dynamics (not just travel mags)

The Virtuoso award is a particular good score.

And l have never heard of the Chinese doing this before. But with the huge growth and jump in cruise traffic in the region we will probally hear a lot more from this region oin the future. I know the Chinese are on a huge cruise infastructure building plan, with many more new ports coming online over the next 3 years.

Well done SS.
